The question is how bad do you want it? Success? How bad is it to you?
you can't kind of want it.
what you are willing to sacrifice for it?

Day 01: Something you're looking forward to this year.
To be quite honest, I'm not really looking to much, mostly because I try to avoid thinking too far ahead.
But there are a few things that come to mind actually.
First thing that comes to mind is colleges. I have only worked 4 years of my high school life to ultimately get accepted into whatever college. I want to see where I go. Probably the most exciting thing about getting accepted to colleges is basically to have the option to decide how your life goes from here. Do I take this door? that door? or the shady looking door in the middle? It'll be a nice fresh change of scenery and maybe a nice fresh change of perspective as well.
2nd thing: Senior related things. It's fun to be a senior. Cream of the crop, I'm basically part of the fats&sweets section of the food pyramid. It doesn't hurt to live a normal senior year as a high schooler (dances, events, ect) Those are just a few things upon my mind. Although, I honestly try not to get ahead of myself. I find it counter-productive to gaze too far ahead, or else I won't be able to live in the present and affects the things I do now. But one thing that I'm working at is my "true calling." I'm still trying to work out the kinks of what I enjoy and I excel at. I still wake up with doubt in my head some mornings, I'm a fickle person.
3rd thing: I'm ambivalent about turning 18. Some days I wouldn't mind getting my feet as a legal adult citizen, then I could vote and partake in various "things" But some days I feel like staying as far as possible from the dividing line of 17 and 18. I used to watch morning cartoons every Saturday, probably THE best part of the school week. Nowadays I wake up to read Reddit and watch old re-runs of the Office *cringe* and that is as far as I can think of.
I'm probably missing some things because I felt much more excited 3 weeks ago....before I started getting homework......

Motherfucking Bootleg Fireworks - Subtitled Version
On a side note, this video makes my day. I love black people...
On quite an unusual post about politics....I'm as not well informed as I'd like with the running candidates for the Democratic Party, but honestly. I feel like the Republican party has a bunch of idiots running as candidates that I feel like I should speak my mind about. Republican candidate Rick Perry believes that there are "flaws to the theory of evolution" I hate these conservative Southern assholes who still through and through deny the theory of evolution. You cannot create nothing from nothing. Humans are a byproduct of hundreds of years of evolution to our surrounding environment. We did not magically pop up one day. Problem is, most people are too human-centric. The world does not revolve around humans, we are also not the most fit animals. We are definitely the one of the most intelligent creatures. We have rational mind that can solve problems. But we are not the most fit to nature. A bear could easily outwrestle me, hands down. But I sure as fuck can create a bear trap.
My biggest annoyance is how the Southern states of the United States are so religiously conservative. I feel as denial of evolution is basically denying 2+2 = 4. It's absurd. I have no problems with religious people. But I do have problems with ignorant religious people. Some people need a faith to get them through at the end of the day, and some don't. Understandable. But a religious person cannot deny facts. Even the most atheist people will look for faith somewhere in times of crisis, but you can't overlook fact. You cannot sit on your ass and believe the sun revolves the Earth.
My second problem is Republican Michelle Bachmann. Another religious GOP candidate. She says I quote "Carbon Dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide as a harmful gas" She also went on about how the atmosphere is 3% carbon dioxide. Please. The atmosphere is less than a percent of CO2. The most ridiculous made up crap ever. She also believed Hurricane Irene was a "sign from God" for the federal government to stop spending. And honestly, if she ever became President, religion would most likely be taught at school. And that disgusts me. Church and state should always be separate in my eyes. But she appeals to the religiously conservative South. She is actually dangerous to some degree as a Presidential candidate. And that is shocking.
I do hope Obama gets re-elected. It could possibly be much more worse.

little phoenix
let yourself free I say
let things go
there is no room for more life if all you keep are things long grey.
let it go I say,
no more room for joy,
if all you keep are old postcards
let it go my friend
no more room for experience
if all you keep is a bottle of vodka
stashed under your elbow
set yourself on fire.
dead weight
wait and see
