Nothing else matters

I can't neglect my guitar. When I should most definitely should be doing something else, it's the draw of the wood work and the feel of the steel strings that I want. I learned how to use vibrato from effectively while playing to make whatever I play more soulful.

I finally learning how to play 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metallica. Probably one of my most favorite acoustic songs. Consistently soft melodic guitar with an ending guitar solo that is just icing on cake. I'm definitely yearning for a jam session, haven't played as a band for months. But those times will come soon. I'm currently trying to work on my personal statements, but there's so much I can possibly write that I have to condense into about 600 words for Prompt #1. I'm definitely trying to avoid writing the stereotypical poor lower class Asian kid with immigrant parents who's trying to get a college. Definitely avoiding that. For Prompt #2, I was considering mentioning my affinity towards playing guitar, and how it's a language that I believe can be tamed and used to leave a dent upon others. Felt right in my head.

While at mammoth........      I found a heart-shaped rock. It must be divine intervention telling me something. I picked it up anyways because it's quite rare to find a rock so coincidentally eroded and shaped like a heart, so why the hell not?

Off to Mordor

       So I'm off to Mammoth tomorrow for 3 days with Science Bowl. Not looking forward to it in the least at the current moment.  I didn't even intend to go really until Paulson kind of pushed for me to go. So I went. But then I didn't really stay for the meetings, and then she was threatening me with losing my trip spots...and in my head I'm like "Are you joking me? I never even intended to go but I went because what do I have to lose?"And now you're questioning whether I want to go or not, but from the beginning I already said I wasn't planning on going.

         At one time I contemplated quitting. Now I contemplate again.

This summer was pretty good. No regrets. I enjoyed it. Much more than last one. In the short span of time, I fulfilled most of my bucket list goals..while I completely forgot about some others. But all is well, I'm well-rested (for the most part)

      All I've been doing is reading "Return of the King" and working out. But my eating habits have been just awful lately. I basically ate an entire container of Chips Ahoy by myself (Not in one sitting) and I've been drinking one too many Snapples, they're so sugary which is what makes it so good. I wake up with a tasteless mouth and one sip of Snapple, bam. Fuck Milk.
      Even though I don't drink much soda anymore, I still compensate with sugary juices, which I won't be quitting any time soon.

     And despite my terrible eating habits and consumption of too many steaks, I am still a healthy 17 year old. fuck yeah america.
